Feeling Better

As you can see, Penelope is feeling much better! I took this picture yesterday. After three days of lots of napping for both of us she had a ton of energy. In the past couple of weeks she has shown interest in toys but hasn't tried to play with them. Then yesterday she was grabbing onto a frog on her play mat. The smile was after she had swung and hit him. It quickly became a game. I'm amazed at how fast it happened. She went from just looking at the toys hanging above her, to being able to grab on and squeeze the same toy multiple times.
Today Chris said I had to get out of the house. Not until he said it did I realize Penny and I hadn't been outside since we got off the airplane on Sunday. It was warmer today (low 20s) so we bundled up and ventured out. Lacey came with us for a shopping trip to Old Navy and Target. I've come to the conclusion that I can't go to stores with baby clothes when I should be looking for clothes for me. It is much easier to head over to the baby side. Penny looks great in everything, doesn't need anything tailored and her clothes seem like such a deal! So I got one comfy sweatshirt and an armful of baby clothes. I have no idea what I'm going to wear to work now that I start 4 days a week. When we got home Chris made a complete south of the border meal...nacho appetizer, excellent soup from Rachel Ray, and pina coladas. Warmed us right up! Cece decided she was tired of waiting for us to be finished before getting her portion. As you can see she sat on the chair in the corner and requested food from Lacey.
And here's Chris telling her he is diappointed with her behavior. Poor Cece...I realized this is the first time she has been on the blog in months.
