Chris came with me to pick up Penny from day care. Penny got to say her favorite word over and over again. Take a listen (I took audio since I could hide the camera...such a sad state affairs this is that the moment I show the camera she must have it or a tantrum ensues)
Yes, I know a button to click is missing. After trying for a ridiculous amount of time to convert the audio from my blackberry into a format that would work, I can't get it on here. grumble grumble grumble. Let me give you a sample
"dada"
"penny"
"dadada"
"pennypenny"
gigglegiggle "dadadadadaada"
"pennypennypennypennypenny"
"dada?"
So not the same effect as the actual recording
On Monday Penelope starts transitioning to the toddler room at daycare. I'm a little nervous. The walking thing seemed to be a fluke. She really hasn't taken more than 3 steps at a time for 2 weeks. She will hold onto her hands and walk with us if we ask her to, but has no interest to do it on her own. I'm just afraid she's going to be trampled by all these big kids.Okay, not that big, just a year older than her. She'll be the young one for a few months until these ones transition to preschool. The daycare owner has assured me they've moved non-walkers up before, and in everything else Penny is ready. She's now one of the oldest in the baby room so I agree, but it still makes me worry. I'd like to think that she'll notice everyone around her walking, but in the baby room there are 4 other walkers, and she doesn't seem bothered to crawl after them. I know...if I'm fretting a ton about this walking thing I'll certainly have a head of grey hair by the time we are choosing her kindergarten...I know my life is pretty good if this is my greatest worry at the moment.
Hopefully I can snap some photos this weekend to post.
