My personal trainer

Penelope has decided that she wants to help mommy get back in shape. She loves all types of motion and with it being such a beautiful day she kept mommy and daddy moving all day long.
Penelope shows her guns to inspire us.
All ready for our morning walk (don't you love the bunny booties?! The toes rattle...much more exciting than my sneakers)
Daddy and Penny enjoying the walk by the river
All the girls enjoying the fall colors...well, one enjoying the fall colors. Cece is hunting squirrels and Penelope is snoozing away like usual.
Two weeks ago when my dad was here he raked 4 lawn bags of leaves. You'd never know it because our yard was filled with leaves again just a few days after he left. We have an enormous oak tree in our backyard. It is beautiful, but I was disappointed at how little sun we got all summer. None of my vegetable plants were able to grow and our grass was pretty brown from all the shade. Now that it has lost about half of its leaves we've got green grass and I have 2 small bell peppers finally growing. Too bad we are forecasted to get frost this week.

Here is the culprit to all the leaves. It is hard to show how big it is in a picture. You can see we still expect to do a lot more raking.
Cece enjoying the nice day among all of my hard work. Chris tackles the alley Me and Penelope hard at work. Whenever I tried to take a break she'd wake up and cry. Quite the drill sargent that one! We've found she loves all types of white noise (dishwasher, noisy refrigerator, static on the radio and now raking leaves)
Stopped for one second to pose for this picture
A true Mr. Magoo face

And of course we needed to exercise our mind! Chris put up Penelope's mobile yesterday and she is really interested in it. She also loves looking at all the Dr. Seuss characters on the wall. She's definitly noticed Sam I am above the changing table and spends most of the diaper changes looking at him. I swear I saw her smile at the wall...now if she'd only smile at mommy and daddy...

I love that you put a hat on her when you were raking leaves. This make Grandma very happy. You know how I am about keeping her covered up.
Love you all!

What a beautiful weekend...it was over 90 here yesterday...we are to have a cool down to 89 tomorrow! :-) I do miss the fall colors! What a job those leaves are, but just think about the time when Penelope can run and jump in to the piles....it will be a lot more fun (for her anyway) :-)!! Hopefully if you cover the peppers they might make it... Glad you are having a great time....She is sooo beautiful...the prettiest Mr. Magoo I have EVER seen!!! Hugs and kisses all around!!

Man, that personal trainer of yours is pushy. Making you rake leaves, go on walks. Does she think she's in charge or something? Oh yeah ... I guess she is. Good thing she's so cute! :)
