This weekend Davida visited me and Chris. We have been friends since middle school. I was able to show her Minneapolis in high style since we went to Glamorama, a concert/fashion show/party that benefits Children's Cancer Research Fund. Of course, I got many comments about "being ready to pop" and out at a huge party. Here are pics:

A night on the town...It looks almost exactly like our homecoming pictures 12 years ago! (Well, except for the obvious bump!)

The 80s theme took us right back to our elementary school days.

Heading up to the party on top of Macy's roof.

Yes, that is us with M.C. Hammer. We look a little excited, eh?

The next day I took Davida along the Mississippi river and then to Minnehaha Falls.

Standing in front of Minnehaha Falls.

The wading pool was very refreshing.

That night in Uptown after dinner at Amazing Thailand. (Chris was attempting to be the Mary Tyler Moore statue that's downtown :)

That must be neat seeing Davida and getting out and enjoying yourself and showing off my grandchild. I hope he behaved herself. Thanks for the pictures.
I bet you guys had a great time at the party! I would have loved to see Cyndi Lauper.
The pics are great! I love the one with the cherry bridge. We just don't have stuff like that in little old Chesterfield. One of these days we will make it out there and you guys can show us the sights.
