Drop, baby, drop!!

It seems Don Juan is quite content in utero. This week my dr. discussed the chance of c-section to get me mentally prepared. Of course, all we want is a healthy baby, but I'm still hoping that we don't have to deal with a hostage sitatuion with this little one and s/he will drop down soon. As of now it looks like Labor Day will be pretty quiet...although, today I did go play mini-golf. Both times my mom went into labor she played 18 holes of golf that day. I've never played real golf and didn't think today would be the day to start, but I thought putt putt might do the trick. We headed to the Walker Art Center. They have a temporary course built by artists...the holes were really cool looking, but we're unsure if the artists have ever played mini golf because many of these were impossible! It still was a lot of fun and a beautiful day to be outside.

Lacey putts at the Paul Bunyan hole. This was definitly one of the easiest.
This one was pretty ridiculous.
Fun idea in concept...you put your ball in the tube, rode the bike to toss it into the pinball machine and then used the brakes to work the pinball machine...problem was the brakes were broken. Next year we should go when the course first opens as there were broken parts throughout many of the holes.
At the end of the course. Didn't realize how ridiculous I must have looked trying to putt around that belly until I saw this picture!

What a fun day you three had.
Please tell the baby that there is lots of chocolate cake ( via breast milk) waiting for him/her on the outside.
The baby definitely enjoyed that on one sonogram.
In this case, we have to negotiate with terrorists!
The next step should be putting headphones on your belly and blasting heavy metal music. (just kidding)

What a great outing! I don't think you look ridiculous at all. You look great! Enjoy that belly-believe or not you'll miss it later. I miss being pregnant all the time. It is such a precious gift and amazing experience! Don't worry abou the dropping. It'll happen when DonJuan is ready. If he/she is head down, there shouldn't be any worries about a c-section. So many doctors are too quick to consider the ideas before nature has had a fair chance to take its course. Here is a link that may help put you at ease:

I'm betting on the 16th as DonJuan's b-day. We shall see!

Actually your mom went out to play 18 holes of golf but she wimped out and only played 4. Something about being tired and not getting a lot of sleep - you know, being a little whiny girl. I have 6 September as the date. That way, every 5 - 7 years DonJuan will get a birthday off with pay, and remember the "Labor" you went through for hir.
