Time is flying so fast I feel like I should be setting up college tours for Penelope. Okay, maybe kindergarten...
We went to her 18 month check up. Here's her stats
Weight 24 lbs 10 0zs (60th percentile)
Height 31 inches (30th percentile)
Each time we go to the doctor she drops another 10 percentile in height. Remember she was 80th percentile when she was born. She did hold steady at 50 until a year, but it looks like she'll take after her mommy. Although, the doctor did say she should be taller than me. Yay! More than 5 ft tall!
I've kind of been expecting this based on her feet. I have a completely non-scientific theory. You know how dogs paws are really big when they are born, especially depending on how big of a breed they are? You always hear "wow, that's going to be a big Labrador. Look at his feet!" Well, Penelope has always had teeny feet. (Is it disturbing that I'm comparing her to dogs again? Hey, it's what I've known my whole life. I'm sure if I had iguanas as my reference point I'd compare her to those)
Check out these shoes I dug up from the summer clothes box:

They fit but are a tad too small. Well, they are for 6-9 month old babies. Chris's mom gave them to her last year at this time and they were HUGE. Her feet are still absolutely adorable. The doctor commented that she still has pudgy baby feet. Reminds me of a basset hound...okay that's my last dog reference...I'll keep them in my head.Tomorrow we are headed to a kids' concert of the Okey Dokey band so I'll hopefully post some videos of Penelope busting some moves. (can't you hear her in a few years saying "mom, why do you say things like that. You are sooooo dumb!")

Yes, I can definitely here her saying that.
I meant to say "I can definitely hear her saying that."
